This Is the Unexpected Place Where Jasmine Tookes Applies Blush

You may recognize supermodel Jasmine Tookes from any number of international ad campaigns or designer runways. If that doesn't do it, then you'll surely recognize her with a pair of ornately crafted wings on her back. She happens to be one of Victoria's Secrets most beloved Angels (she's even donned the $2 million fantasy bra).В

Soon after returning from a trip to Shanghai, China, Tookes headed to theВ Vogue offices to film herself completing her everyday beauty routine. In the video, she opens up about her favorite makeup products, including the one lip stain she swears by. She also has a few genius application tips up her sleeve, like how she applies blush in an unexpected place in order to look like she's "been on an island somewhere."В

Tookes starts out by applying Kora OrganicsВ Noni Glow Face Oil ($68), which is a product developed by fellow model and past Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr, to moisturize and nourish her skin, before layering Charlotte Tilbury'sВ Wonder Glow Primer ($55) on top. After that, she reaches for two different MACВ Studio Conceal and Correct Palettes ($35). She calls these concealer palettes her "absolute favorite," thanks to the variety of shades they include. "For girls with darker skin, like me, it has literally everything you need," she says. "I mix everything."

After concealer and foundation (the latter of which is the cult favorite Giorgio ArmaniВ Fluid Sheer Foundation ($62), she applies her blush. Surprisingly, the first place she applies it isn't on her cheeks. She puts it on her nose. "Put it onto my nose," she says absentmindedly while dabbing it on with a makeup sponge, "like I've been on an island somewhere." She even puts it on her eyelids, to complete a monochromatic glowy makeup look. How's that for a makeup trick that fakes a post-vacation radiance? It's essentially a more subtle take on draping, a blush technique inspired by '70s and '80s style.В

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush $29Shop

Although she doesn't share exactly which blush she uses, to us, it looks a lot like Tarte's Amazonian Clay cream blush, which lasts for up to 12 hours and imparts a totally natural-looking flush. With her collection of products and expert makeup knowledge, we see why she says "I think if I wasn't a model, I would honestly be a makeup artist."
